The fam (Eric and Gabe-- Dave is staying on till Monday) will be home tonight, after four days in Colorado. I took them to the airpost Saturday and came home to help run John's concert at FP-- it went well!

The first day they were gone-- Sunday-- I slept and read a book ALL DAY, and then got together and sang with Becky and Gary in the evening. Monday, I tidied up a bit and made some jewelry, and read another book. Tuesday, I went to the dentist, Dierbergs, and the bank, watched Big Dave and a minion haul away 3/4s of the giant sycamore wood, and had Ben over for dinner. We played cards and watched a ball game (Cardinals lost.)Today saw the rest of the wood gone, me to the Toyota dealer for oil change and stuff, and home again.

I hadn't intended to spend any money, hah: the dentist cost $1550; Big Dave cost $540, and the car cost $179!! Still, that was 'extra' money: it all came out of Eric's UMB account for major stuff. I didn't actually spend any of our household running money, except $25 at Dierbergs and $30 at ShopnSave.

I could really use a bit more solitude; this was a lovely four days.
